McAlester RiteCare Outreach Program Clinic
on the Northeastern State University Campus at Muskogee

The McAlester Scottish Rite is pleased and proud to announce its partnership with Northeastern State University in opening the McAlester RiteCare Outreach Program Clinic located in the Administration Building on the NSU campus at Muskogee on April 29th, 2008. Children between the ages of 8 through 11 who are afflicted with speech, language, and reading development problems can receive therapy guided by the NSU's Speech Language Pathology program under the supervision of a licensed speech language pathologist. Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Karen Patterson, professor and program chair of Speech Language Pathology, Dr. Dalton Bigbee, vice president for Academic Affairs, John Gyllin, director of Development, Dr. Ronald Schaefer, professor of Speech Language Pathology, and a host of students and administrative members, as well as Dr. Bob Bartheld, president of the Charitable and Educational Foundation for the McAlester Scottish Rite, Ashley Monks, Senior Speech Language Pathologist for the RiteCare Clinic, and Donald G. Jones, General Secretary of the McAlester Scottish Rite, more children from Eastern Oklahoma who have speech, language, and reading disorders can now be served without the need to travel long distances.
